Question: I have been taking Celebrex and now have had 4 gi bleeds this morning. Will this stop by itself

Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using 'Ask a Doctor'. GI bleeds can become a very serious problem, and often can start small from an ulcer, but if a blood vessel is affected and starts to bleed, you can lose a lot of blood quickly. So I would recommend that you go to the ER and be checked out to make sure you are not bleeding too much, and to get started on treatment to try to stop the bleeding. I would also stop taking the Celebrex, as it can cause stomach ulcers and bleeding.
