I Have Been Wearing Wigs And I Have Been Getting
There is nothing to worry about, you do not need to go to the hospital at the moment
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service,
I carefully read your query and understand your concern.
You should not be worried about the impression of the scalp. It is normal for impressions to happen when pressure is applied to the area, and it should start to fade within the next couple of hours.
There is no need to go to the hospital either.
If you notice, in the area, any redness that is extending then you will need to see your doctor to make sure there is no secondary infection. This in itself is a very rare event and I mentioned it just to let you know when you need to see a doctor.
Try to avoid further trauma in the area. You may also get ibuprofen 600 mg after food to help with the pain if it is bothersome. This will also help reduce inflammation and the local swelling (edema). Local cool compresses may help with pain and the impressions to fade faster (please do not use ice directly on the skin, it has to be wrapped).
I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards,
Antoneta Zotaj,
