1. Do you face difficulty in climbing stairs or walking down stairs
2. any problem in the mornings when u wake up..do.you feel stiffness
3. any previous history of injury to the knee?
4. anyone in family has knee issues?
5. any other joints involved
Meanwhile.you can also get a x ray of knees done(standing position) to see the exact cause of it

Lumbar degenerative disc disease
Grade 1 degenerative L4-5 spondylolithesis
Lumbar spondylosis

Well your symptoms do look like osteoarthritis of the knees is starting as the earliest signs are difficulty in getting up and climbing or getting down stairs. It is basically a process of denigration where the cartilage is wearing off..To confirm we need to get an X ray of the knees done in standing position
As for treatment wise..You have to start exercises..focusing on quadriceps..2.Avoid using stairs wherever u can...3. avoid sitting on the floor or cross legged..4. I am not sure about your weight but it should match your BMI
Finally I would say dont worry..it looks like the start but should stop here if we take all.precautions
