Question: I have broken and dry skin on the sides of my index and middle finger , the rest of the hands are normal but this small area has extremely dry and broken skin. can share photos.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

You seem to have hand eczena which if chronic can cause cracking and fissures of skin. I suggest you to use a topical steroid and antibiotic combination cream e.g Clobetasol propionare 0.05% and neomycin cream 0.5% cream (Tenovate Gn cream) for a few days which would help heal cracks and fissures. It is a prescription medication. In addition I suggest you to use an intensive moisturizer e.g Venusia XXXXXXX cream or Olesoft XXXXXXX cream for regular use.
