I Have Extreme Swelling Around Knees My Legs Hurt Really
Question: I have extreme swelling around knees my legs hurt really bad I am not urinating as much and when I do it is dark brown my legs hurt really bad what is going on
Brief Answer:
Visit the ER without delay
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concern. It is apparent that there is an inflammatory process going on in your knees. It could be due to rheumatoid or osteo-arthritis. An X ray of both the knees (AP and lateral) is essential. Based on the findings further investigations can be planned. However, based on your current condition you need to visit the ER without delay. They would be able to evaluate and take appropriate steps including those needed for your urinary issues.

I can't go till morning am I going to be ok till then and is there anything I can do to relieve some of the pain
Did you get my follow up question
Will you please help me I am hurting really bad
Brief Answer:
Hot compress alternating with cold compress
Detailed Answer:
I am sorry to learn about your condition. Ice compress will help by reducing inflammation. Alternate it with hot compress and it would reduce pain. If still required, you may take paracetamol or acetaminophen 1g (you may take 2 tab of 500 mg if that is available) for pain relief. Thereafter be sure to visit a doctor/ER
