Question: I have finished using the first course of dronis 30 tablets yesterday I.e on 20th october. However I had unprotected sex on 19th Oct and still finished my entire course. I did not take any other contraceptive pill. I had dronis 30 on the day of sex as well as the next day. So are there any chances of pregnancy. I've been diagnosed with pcos. My next dosage will start after 7 days gap.

Brief Answer:
There is no need for another contraceptive.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for letting us know your health concern.

Since you have used the complete course of hormones, you should be protected. If you have regular ovulation and if this is your first cycle of hormones, additional protection is needed.

However, as you have been diagnosed with PCOD, chances are that you may not be ovulating regularly. So, I don't think you would need any further protection. Chances of pregnancy are almost nil.

Wait for your next period and go on with your course of hormones as prescribed.

Hope I have clarified your query. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
