Brief Answer:
Umbilical sinus or omphalitis are possibilities.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

As per your description, the possible cause will be an umbilical sinus which is nothing but an abnormal connection between the umbilicus and abdominal cavity. Local infection of the umbilicus as in the case of omphalitis can also cause similar symptoms.

As of now, you can apply over the counter available antibiotics like mupirocin for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. In that case, you may require an ultrasound scan.

Thanks
