Question: I have had a cold for 6 days now. I am coughing up yellow mucus and my chest feels heavy. Slept with a couple of pillows because breathing was tough . I do not have a fever
Do I need to see my doctor? Or just lay low?

Hi,

It's good to know you are afebrile. But the presence of yellow sputum, the chest heaviness and breathing difficulty on lying flat suggest possibility of respiratory congestion. Therefore I will recommend to see a doctor for clinical examination. Blood count and a chest X-ray will be necessary.
