I Have Had A Cold (productive Cough , Runny Nose,

Question: I have had a cold (productive cough, runny nose, sore throat) since Friday 9- 28. I have been feeling better and my sore throat went away, and I've been taking Mucinex DM (2 tablets every 12 hours) so I can cough out the mucus more easily. Just now I noticed this rash on my neck. It is only mildly itchy. what is it? what should I do?
Brief Answer:
Could be viral or medicine induced
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
From your description this seems to be viral or drug induced rash. If its a viral, then it will resolve when the viral resolves. If its medicine related then it will resolve when medicine is discontinued.
Kindly upload a photo of the rash so that I am better able to help. Also describe, what it looks like.
Meanwhile, you can discontinue your medicines and see if it gets better.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
