I Have Had A Long History Of Kidney Stones, With
Question: I have had a long history of Kidney Stones, with recent (over the last 4 months) occasional pink urine and moderate right flank pain, which I would describe as a constant dull ache. My renal scan shows the following:
Right kidney demonstrates some delay in excretion with a timed peak of 19 minutes however upon Lasix administration there is rapid decrease in activity. CONCLUSION: Mild retention radionuclide right kidney due to prominent renal pelvis and caliectasis. There is no evidence of persistent obstruction or hydronephrosis. Differential uptake 57% on the right and 43% on the left. Could the Caliectasis be inflammation from having passed a stone, and will it require intervention?
