I am 5'6, weight 148 lbs, I am a smoker, no alcohol.
may be nerve compression with muscle sprain.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your query and here is my advice.
As per your history it may be nerve compression with muscle sprain.
Please let me know do you have history of injury, sprain, tingling or numbness in upper or lower limbs?
To confirm diagnosis I would suggest you to do MRI lumbar spine with whole spine screening after orthopedic consultation. You may require tab. pregabalin 75 mg with tab. nortriptylline 10 mg after consultation.
Till then you can take tab. acetaminophen 500 mg every 4 hourly. Apply diclofenac gel or spray with heat pads locally. These medications should be available over the counter.
As per past history and to evaluate bilateral leg swelling I would suggest you to do 2D echo to rule out any cardiac issue. To rule out other possibilities you may require liver profile, renal function test, TSH. Do blood pressure monitoring regularly.
Kindly avoid long standing. Use compression socks with leg elevation. Let me know I can assist you further.

Dr. Shyam Kale.

No numbness. I do wake up very stiff in the a.m. I also on occasion feel as if a drop of either really cold or really not water falls on me in different places. Mostly arms or legs. I had an MRI done but it has been a few years. I am not able to locate it at the moment, but there wasn't anything that stood out as abnormal. Ultrsound was done in my legs. As the technician moved around across the veins in my legs, she would squeeze, and then I could hear almost like a whooshing sound. She said that is how it should sound. There was one area when she never did get that sound like she did everywhere else but they told me it came back normal.
please see detailed answer.
