Question: I have had a uti for over a week now. I’ve been taking bactrim and it doesn’t seem to be working , I am very uncomfortable. I have been using azo for discomfort and pain when using the bathroom

I am sorry to hear about your troubles. Have you had urine cultured prior to starting on antibiotics? If so, there should results ready that could guide targeted antibiotic treatment.

Have you had utis before? Any known kidney or bladder disease, e.g. kidney stones?

Yes, they sent if off for a culture of never called back. I’ve had utis several times and they suck. What’s the next option if Bactrim isn’t working ? I’m very uncomfortable
