Question: I have had instances where I can become extremely hot, start sweating and become dizzy and disoriented and have fallen. I have had blood work, ekg's, chest X-rays, wore a holder monitor for two days etc..everything always checks out ok? I know that something isn't quite right though and am fearful of having this happen again.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on 'Ask A Doctor' service!

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to an inner ear disorder or thyroid gland dysfunction.

Other possible causes to consider are panic attacks or low blood flow to the brain (TIA).

For this reason, I would recommend first checking your thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction and performing a Doppler ultrasound of the carotid arteries to examine the blood flow in them.

The next step would be consulting with an ENT specialist and performing labyrinthine tests to exclude an inner ear disorder.

Please discuss with your doctor about the above tests.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Wishing all the best,
