I Have Had Random Spotting 3 Days Over The Last
Question: I have had random spotting 3 days over the last month. I had an ablation 4 years ago and no period since. There seems to be no commonality between the days. It is so light I don't need a liner. I have also been experiencing gas bloating and hemorrhoids over the last several weeks. The bleeding is definitely not related to that. Any thoughts?
Brief Answer:
Hormonal variation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
Following is my reply:
1) Even after ablation there could be some areas of endometrium that are not completely ablated and that bleed with hormonal variations.
2) This is absolutely normal and nothing to worry about it.
3) This is not related to bloating or hemorrhoids.
Let me know if you need anymore help.

I feel like I should have been more specific - the days I have been spotting are not in conjunction. One was about 4 weeks ago, another day about 2 and a half weeks after that and again a week and a half later. I have never been someone to spot between periods. Is this normal this long after ablation? Is it possible that I am starting my period again and at what point if it continues should I be concerned? Thank you for your time
Brief Answer:
Need an ultrasound examination
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This bleeding may be from other places like cervix or vagina and not necessarily from uterus or periods related.
I suggest get examined by your gynecologist first. An ultrasound examination will help you to identify the uterus related bleeding possibilities.
