I Have Had Several Recurrent Unexplained Symptoms In The Pelvic Region

These symptoms include:
2 abnormal pap smears (LSIL)
Urinary incontinence
Increased urinary frequency
Recurrent UTI's (despite antibiotic use, have had countless infections within the past several months)
High white blood cell count in urine, even without infection
Diarrhea for over a month (currently resolved)
Hair in my anal region is falling out. (Every time I wipe, I get a clump of pubic hair.)
Anus feels swollen, random strange feelings in rectum.
Blood in stool (3 times)
Pelvic pain (Cramps between periods, lasted for several months)
Abnormal bleeding (random spotting between periods)
Lower back pain
Generalized lymphadenopathy (For the past month and a half. Swollen, painful lymph nodes all over my body that come and go. Under my right armpit and my right groin area, I have two swollen lymph nodes that have consistently been very tender.)
I have had the following tests done: CBC, liver and kidney, thyroid, hormones. I had a colposcopy last year that confirmed LSIL, have an appointment for another one in a few days. I had an ultrasound of my bladder last year but nothing came up. I had a manual exam of my rectum a few months ago that did not show anything unusual. I have tried preparation H but have had no relief in symptoms. I am extremely frustrated as no doctor can give me an answer to what is occurring and how to get relief. This is affecting my sex life. The reccurent UTI's won't go away even with antibiotics, I have to get up several times a night to pee, I can't have anal sex, I can't even cuddle with my partner because the lymph node in my armpit hurts so bad, and no sign of it going away. Not to mention that having all these ongoing symptoms without any explanation is very unsettling. I'm annoyed. I don't know how many of these things may be connected to one another.
I'm not trying to be paranoid, but I find it very weird that all these symptoms that I keep getting are in the same general area. I just want them to go away, or at least to know why I'm having them, and if I can do anything about them or just have to live with them.
Undergo CT/MRI scan of Pelvis, STI panel including HIV and HPV.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Ask a Doctor Service.
I must first express my sympathies; you have suffered so much and yet are trying your best to get past it.
After carefully considering your peculiar constellation of symptoms and signs, my suspicion is leaning towards HIV or something along those lines or probably a carcinoma/Lymphoma.
I am sorry to give you this information, but that angle needs to be investigated well.
I am not saying for once that that is what is the cause for your symptoms and signs, I may be completely wrong, but that is the first thing I would rule out.
So, I strongly recommend you to undergo sexually transmitted diseases tests.
An MRI or Contrast Enhanced CT scan of the Pelvis and abdomen would be very helpful too.
A colonoscopy at a later date maybe considered if these tests turn out to be negative for any pathology.
Kindly also ask your doctors to order for culture and sensitivity of vaginal swabs, urethral swabs, urine and stools.
I hope you will find an answer soon with these investigations.
Wishing you speedy recovery and best wishes.
Regards
Dr. Yogesh D, MBBS, MD
