I Have Hand Cramps In The Day Time With Exertion

need evaluation...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand you been dealing with an annoying and difficult situation. It's going to be difficult to treat this without understanding what's causing the cramps in the first place. Hence it is important to run some test and if possible isolate the cause. You have tried Magnessium, calcium, D3 as well as potassium supplements. How long have you been on these and what type of response did you feel after the treatment? Did you have the levels tested for thees nutrients?
Besides these, i would also consider getting hemoglobin as well as serum iron tests done. You should also get thyroid functions tested to check if there are thyroid hormone disturbance.
I will recommend you consult the treating physician and discuss about these tests.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards

I will call my family physician to see if she will order the magnesium, calcium and potassium levels as well as iron. I believe these were done last April, but would probably be worth repeating as the symptoms seem to be getting worse.
Also I have been diagnosed with OA for the past few years and have been recently put on a 70 mg dose of Fosamax (Alendronate sodium) once a week.
Worthwhile to get tested...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I apologize for the late reply. Yes, it is worthwhile to get those test done. Specific treatment will be based on test results. Incase all the test are within limits, you may have to consult a neurophysician who can prescribe medicine to ease / stop cramps.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more information.
Regards
