Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have read your complaints. You have not described how did you get sprain and what are your uric acid levels.
Three aspects -
1, Bad ankle sprain needs immobilization with a cast or splint so that it can heal adequately.
2.Gout- you will have to take medicines like allopurinol or febustat regularly and the doses depend on uric acid levels. Cast // Splint immobilization can also help in pain relief due to gout.
3.Tingling in feet and lower legs -could be due to slipped disc or nerve compression in lower back. Pain killers and muscle relaxants will help but I would prefer orthopedic consultation before starting treatment.
Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any orther question.

Thank you. The injury resulted from a fall. The fall resulted from stepping down 6 inches of to a door mat that immediately slid forward rapidly. The loss of support for my right side left me calling straight down, knee bending forward and as I descended my right heel XXXXXXX off the floor and my right butt cheek with 180 lbs. It slammed on the ankle and heel. My first concern was for the knee and it was a little sore for 3 days. The foot didn't have any pain. 3 days later the gout became evident. and I didn't make the connection for 7 days. My back showed no reaction, no stiffness, no pain. Blood work tomorrow on uric acid levels. Medication options will be controlled by my renal insufficiency. Presently clearing about 30%
