Question: I have just been diagnosed WITH PNEUMONIA. I went to the doctor after I had begun to cough up blood in the mornings. I felt as if I was smothering after any physical work and even after eating. After 2 CT scans my doctors assistant called to day I had pneumonia and put me on an anti biotic. Brief Answer:
yes
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
pneumonia is contagious and you may transmit to your coworkers or your family. Anybody who comes close to you may become infected. Some pathogens are more infectious than others but most of them can be transmitted. Using masks and washing hands is the best way to protect others and letting fresh air into the room is very important as well.
I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
