Brief Answer:
Could be diverticulitis
Detailed Answer:
Left lower abdominal pain could be caused by many things, but diverticulitis would be a main consideration, which is usually treated with antibiotics. However, colon cancer would also need to be considered. A CT scan is often needed to confirm the diagnosis and assess for any complications like an abscess, which may need to be surgically drained. How old are you? Do you have any other medical conditions? Any fevers? Any change in your bowel habits? Were any blood tests done that showed anything abnormal?
