Question: I have numbness in right hand that is not going a way I just woke up with it I checked the syemptems for heart attack and I dont have any I am A type 2 diabetic and take metformin 2000mg a day take a high blood pressure med 10mg

Thanks for the query.
Considering your age and comorbid conditions the possibilities are diabetic peripheral neuropathy and peripheral occlusive vascular disease.
However it is more common in lower limb rather than hands.
In your case the more possible cause is a neuropraxia which is nothing but a strain in nerve due to sleeping in a compromised position or strain. It is transient condition and will settle by itself.
As of now you can wait for few days and take VitaminB12 supplements for symptomatic relief. Make sure that the diabetes status is well controlled.
If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
