I Have Oily Smelly Loose Stools. It Is So Often

Question: I have oily smelly loose stools. It is so often I cannot stand at a urinal because as I relax, the loose oily stool will squirt out. My sister also suffers from the same condition and tells me our mother did, too.
Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Oily stools is often seen due to either liver or pancreatic exocrine dysfunction.
I recommend a visit to your GP who can order tests to ascertain the health of liver and pancreas. This must be addressed asap. If the endocrine part of the pancreas is involved, it can lead to serious problems.
Wish you good health.

My Humana tricare based gp does not seem to care. She did prescribe cholestamine and told me that was an off label use. It didn't seem to help and as joint pain became an issue, I discontinued the cholestamine. The ache in the joints faded but the diarrhea continues. Often 6 to 8 times a day.
Any help would be appreciated.
