I Have Pain In My Neck, Jaw, Shoulders, Shoulder Blade

Question: I have pain in my neck, jaw, shoulders, shoulder blade and even a rip every now and again, it’s like a muscle tense pain and it’s very annoying. It’s making my arm sore, I also had a headache like a tension headache which isn’t as bad no but pain in my temple.

I have had pain like this on this side before but not involving my jaw and temple.

It feels like a muscle is too tight all up and down that area.

I have been lifting heavy stuff so I don’t know if it’s made it worse.

I also have a lot off emotional stress at the moment.

The doctor mentioned that sometimes pain in the temple an be serious?

But could it all just be muscle related?

Brief Answer:
Cervical radiculopathy possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think the symptoms you are having look more like cervical radiculopathy.
Neck ,jaw , shoulder and arm pain together with headache, temple pain and muscle tightness may be caused by nerve compression due to cervical issues such herniated disc. This is called cervical radiculopathy .
You can do a certain MRI to check it.
The fact that you had symptoms before and now you have muscle tightness too means that it is possibly getting worse.
Lifting weights makes this issue worse.
Use anti-inflammatory drugs such acetaminophen, ibuprofen or naproxen.
Have rest as much as possible.
Avoid lifting weights.

Physical therapy will help relieving the symptoms so do physical therapy.

Hope I have answered the question.

I saw an osteopath today who thinks the pain is coming from the back off the rib cage to start with.

Should I be worried about the pain in my temple tho?

Brief Answer:
Most likely caused by neck issues.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I don't think that tample pain, headache neck pain can be related to rib cage issues.
The shoulder pain can be related to rib cage issues but most likely it is related to the neck issues.
The doctor you visited may have examined the neck for possible issues .
A x-ray of the neck is needed.
