As per your history, it may be due to muscle strain.

For that you can take tablet motrin (Ibuprofen) 400 mg every 8 hourly. Apply diclofenac gel. Heating pads will also help.

Please let me know if you have fever, swollen lymph nodes, rash, bumps or history of injury?

In that case, you may require antibiotics after detailed medical examination and physician's opinion. Treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. Kindly avoid tablet aspirin.

Not swollen lymph nodes because I’ve rubbing the area...
But I will take meds and use gel.
How many days should I take the meds before I notice a change?
