Management of acne

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.

I have gone through your query, please note that acne (pimples) is a presentation of PCOD.

I would recommend you to use antiacne face wash like facecare facewash twice daily, take tablet Minocycline 100mg once daily at bedtime and apply Benzoyl peroxide 2.5 percent gel on the pimples twice daily.

These need to be continued for 2-3 months to see significant results.
These are prescription drugs and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.

Also avoid oiling of the scalp, sugary foods, dairy products, facials and scrubbing of face and stay in cool airy environment.

For faster results, do consult a dermatologist and go for chemical peels.
This will help you further help in resolving your problem.
Also consult a gynecologist and start treatment for PCOD.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
Dr Asmeet
