Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would explain that the muscle twitch in the left side of your chest is not related to the pericarditis, as the pericardium structure is much more deeper under the chest wall, not related to the chest muscles.

The muscle twitch in this region could be related to local inflammation, and maybe electrolyte imbalances, or sweating.

For this reason, I would recommend using a local gel on this region (maybe voltaren gel or Norflex gel) to help calm down the inflammation and also the muscle twitching (they help the muscles relax).

Anyway, nothing serious seems to be going on!

Hope you will find this information helpful!
