Brief Answer:
Necrotic tissue

Detailed Answer:
Thank you, I got the pictures. There is necrotic tissue at the the incision, and may be infection as well, especially if she is having worse pain or fever. She will likely need wound debridement to remove the dead tissue, and may need antibiotics for wound infection. In order to prevent worsening infection and wound breakdown, I would recommend contacting the surgeon who did the operation for further management; if you are unable to contact them within the next day, I would go to the ER for further evaluation.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions about that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.

Thank you Dr I do appreciate your reply. Her doctor told us that when they stitched it up that they folded the skin from the back on the leg over to the front and stitched it to good skin. The doctor gave her antibiotics a week ago and said that this skin should be falling off with each shower she takes. He said that new skin should be forming underneath the wound. There is a bit of puss but no blood. She has no pain or fever. Could you please tell me what you think after kowning these details?
