I Have Question About STD And HIV Two Days Back I Visited Strip Club And I Had 3 Lap Dances I Am At Risk For STD And HIV?
Question: I have question about STD and HIV. 2 days back I visited strip club and I had 3 lap dances from a dancer. I was wearing a thick jeans and under that I was wearing cotton shorts and under that I was wearing underwear. The dancers were nude and they rubbed her genitals over mine (mine was covered as explained above). At times they rubbed it hard. I did not notice any fluid sticking to my jeans from the dancers. I did not pay attention. But now I am freaked out if I am at risk for STD and HIV. Please help me.
Brief Answer:
No risk of STDs
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
STDs are only transmitted through direct unprotected sex that involves contact with infected genital surfaces or through exchange of infectious genital secretions like semen or vaginal fluids. Since there was no direct sexual contact involved so there is no risk of transmission of STDs.

Thanks Doctor.
Just one more question. if at all there was some fluid which stuck on my jeans from the dancers, can it travel/penetrate by itself through the jeans-cotton shorts-underwear and then finally into my body through my genital? Can HIV survive on jeans or cloths?
Also are there any reports in the world about transmission of HIV in the manner of my case which I explained?

Brief Answer:
No need to screen for HIV
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
HIV does not survive outside the body on dry surfaces. It dies on exposure to air. So there is no question of it going through the clothes. There are no such reports of HIV infection. I don't think there is any need for an HIV screening test.
