I Have Recently Been Experiencing Flu Symptoms For The Last
Question: I have recently been experiencing flu symptoms for the last 3 days or so with horrible coughing spells. So bad that my ribs are killing me and I was changing underwear after everytime bc I kept peeing. Yesterday afternoon I experienced a gush and when I went to the bathroom there was blood. At first I thought there was blood in my urine but even though my period wasn’t due for 10 more days I chalked it up to it coming early. I’m nervous now though because it’s so much blood. It’s bright red, full of clots and soaking pads. When I go to the bathroom my urine is bright red and tinged with all the blood. Could coughing have caused some other kind of internal injury causing me to bleed out of my vagina?
Brief Answer:
Coughing has not caused the bleeding.

I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
The bleeding that you have is a coincidental occurrence. The severe cough that you are suffering has not caused any uterine injury. Don’t worry.
I hope you are taking treatment for cough.
Sometimes illness can cause hormonal changes resulting in such bleeding.
Please take treatment for cough.
Please consult Gynecologist for internal examination and scan to find if there is any other reason for this bleeding.
If you have further concerns I will be happy to answer.
