Brief Answer:
Possible causes of rectal bleeding explained below in details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern.

There are many medical conditions that can cause rectal bleeding.

I may need some other information to help me through the diagnosis.

-Do you have pain, burning or itching in the anal area?
It can be an anal fissure.

-Do you have constipation or diarrhea?
It can be an inflammatory bowel disease.

-Do you have pain in the left lower abdomen or fever ?
It can be diverticulitis.

-Cancer of the rectum should not be excluded.
I recommend doing a colonoscopy for further evaluation.

Awaiting for your response.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further

Brief Answer:
Probably anal fissure, follow the advice below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,

In my opinion the symptoms seem to be related to anal fissure.

An anal fissure is a small tear in the mucosa that lines the anus.

I suggest you to do a physical examination to confirm the diagnosis.

I also recommend doing a colonoscopy to exclude other possible causes.

Meanwhile, some suggestions are:

Clean and dry your anal area after each bowel movement.

Eat fiber rich diet and drink liquids

Soak in warm water.

Apply coconut oil for healing properties.

Hope my answer was helpful.

Take care dear,

Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
