Posted on Sun, 24 Mar 2019
Question: I have slightly smooth red circular spots on my chest and stomach. They are very slightly noticible until I work out or sweat and then they look bright red. I had the same on my back 8 months ago but went away now the same is appearing on front. There is no discomfort, but now I have the same spots in my pubic hair area.

Probably tinea corporis or a fungal infection, follow the advice below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I already reviewed the attached report.

Your symptoms seem to be related to ringworm or tinea corporis.

It is a fungal infection.

I recommend using an over the counter antifungal cream such as Miconazole cream.

I also recommend using antifungal medication such as Fluconazole 150 mg daily for three days.

It is a prescription medication, so you should consult your doctor before this treatment.

Hygiene is very important.

I suggest to wash the body frequently and keep it dry.

The condition is common and contagious, but it’s not serious, so you should not be worried.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
