Hello,

I have not been sexual active since September 2020.

The last time I had sex was back in September. It was safe sex with condom. However, i did receive unprotected oral.

The last time I got tested for an std was in July 2020 and it was negative.

My stomach has been acting funny lately. Have had a bit of diarhea, but didn't eat much and don't eat much fruits, salads or fibres of late.

Been quite stressed with work and studies due to the crisis we are all in.

No the spots have not grown they are still the same. I noticed them a while ago. They've been there since quite some time. But was always curious what they were.

I lost a bit of weight lately. Was 75 kg in December 1st and I am now today 73.10 kg.

Brief Answer:
Seems like human papiloma virus condyloma

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for the follow up question.

I think what those white lesions are condyloma. They come in a male after getting infected with human papiloma virus. In a man they are not a problem just annoying. You can remove them by a local dermatologist. You need to specifically ask to get tested for them if you need to know if you really are infected by HPV.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards, Dr. Klarida Papaqako, General and Family physician.

Brief Answer:
Hpv don't affect possibility of getting pregnant nor pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

It can be gotten sexually, but sometimes in hospitals when in contact with infected tools.
If you and your girlfriend have been the only ones from each other, then it is most probably something else. But if that is not the case, then you or her have gotten it from previous sexual encounters and given to each other. Maybe your girlfriend has it too, but has developed no visible condyloma. In woman it causes uterus cervix cancer. That is why your girlfriend does regular pap tests.
It does not affect pregnancy. So no problem about that.
Even if you use condom, the virus in located in the skin around genital area, so still can be transmitted while in contact with the skin of the partner.

Let me know if you have other questions or concerns.

Kind regards,
Dr. Papaqako

So if I understand there is a risk my girlfriend can get cancer?

Also, does hpv appear on a blood test?

If I get tested for hpv do they cut a piece of my skin?

I don’t do well with surgical or blood test. It’s phobia I have.

Brief Answer:
Your girlfriend can be tested through the vaginal secretions.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Yes there is a risk your girlfriend can get cancer. She maybe has done the vaccine aggainst HPV. In this case there is no risk for cancer.
HPV appear on test by the vaginal secretions of your girlfriend.
Or if you would like those white lesions to be taken off, then you they can be tested for that. Most cases, just the condyloma lesions are enough to tell that those are from HPV. While your girlfriend should consider the PAP test every two years, to keep under control the possibility of having cancer. This is a test that every woman should do because the HPV virus is very spreadable.

Let me know if you have other questions or concerns. Otherwise please kindly close and rate the answers.

Hello,

Yes we got out HPV vaccines when we were kids and so on. Do I need to consider the vaccine again?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Klarida Papaqako (17 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Vaccine doesn't help if someone is sexually active

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

No, once being sexually active the vaccine has no reason.

I would recommend to consider getting tested again for the sexually transmitted infections, including HPV. So you would then know for sure how you can be treated properly.

Kind regards,
Dr. Papaqako
