I Have Started A Course Of Topicam Aldara Cream, Three
Question: I have started a course of topicam Aldara cream, three days weekly for several smaller genital warts. by instruction, I should wash off the cream with soap and water after 8 hours. I am having difficulty remaining conpliant with this, instead applying the cream after showering at night and washing the area the following night during showering.
Is the 8 hour washing to minimize irritation or ulceration lf the skin, or does it serve some other purpose?
So far, I have not had any skin irritation.

I read your query and here is my advice.
You can use topical aldara cream applying on skin after you have washed the skin and dried it well. Put cream before sleep and leave it overnight.
You can use a cotton gauze over or simply cotton underwear.
After 8 hours when you come out of bed ,wash skin well with soap and water.
If you don't see irritation on the skin it is a good thing and doesn't mean that it is not working. It doesn't serve other purposes.
It may need longer treatment to see good results and you may apply it for 16 weeks three times per week.
