Brief Answer:
Fluoxetine (Prozac) would be a reasonable choice
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using 'Ask a Doctor'. If you are not planning to get pregnant, an SSRI would be the recommended treatment for your disorder, especially if you are having severe symptoms. Of the SSRI medications, fluoxetine (Prozac) has not been shown to cause weight gain, and is the best SSRI for avoiding this. Typically I would start with a dose of 10mg, which can then be increased to 20mg/day over the first month, and then in a future menstrual cycle you could go up to 30mg a day if needed.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions about that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
