Brief Answer:
inflammation or venous return problem. keep leg elevated .
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.
* As per my clinical experience, the swelling lower limb can be from soft tissue
inflammation, disturbances of venous blood return or others.
* Immediate pain relief can be best obtained with tablet paracetamol ( 500 mg ) after
meals preferably with antacid as ranitidine ( 150 mg ).
Should keep the leg elevated over 2-3 pillows when resting and avoid prolong sitting
or standing posture.
Kindly provide me further details so that we can discuss ahead about the same.
1. Extent of swelling over different parts of leg.
2. Is there redness or warmth involving the skin overlying ?
3. Any associated systemic issues as problem in breathing, fever or else.
4. Pain details.
5. History of diabetes, high BP, kidney problem ?
Awaiting for your response.
Regards.
