Brief Answer:
it would be best to be seen as soon as possible if meningitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you suspect meningitis, it is important to be seen as soon as possible so that you can be seen, assessed and treated.
Meningitis requires immediate treatment.

It is possible that your symptoms are related to a viral infection that may resolve with fluids , rest, paracetamol/tylenol but if meningitis is suspected, this would need to be ruled out by thorough assessment from a doctor.

In addition to a complete history and examination, investigations such as a lumbar puncture/spinal tap, would be needed to obtain a small amount of CSf to seen to the lab

I hope this helps. feel free to ask any other questions
