I Have This Skin Rash On My Arm Near Elbow.

Question: I have this skin rash on my arm near elbow. this is a recurrent thing and seems to be stress related. I get either on my arm or on my back near shoulder. I've been to a clinic three times. this has happened about five times. first time the did a scrape and sent to lab but nonviral. they diagnosis staph and give antibiotics. im thinking it's shingles..?? a few days before it develops I get a pain or burning at the spot. the the rash appears and there are fluid filled lesions. I know when it's going to happen. pain and tenderness continue. then it goes away. I have developed chills, fever at one time but not all. what do you think?

I read your query and here is my advice.

According to your description of rash and symptoms it matches the symptoms of shingles.
When you did the test in laboratory they could have tested you for viral infection too. Also the doctor may have suspected shingles only by looking at the lesions.
I believe it is shingles since it has fluid filled vesicles, burning sensation,pain and tenderness.
If you are currently having the rash you can send me a photo of it in reports.
The treatment consists on antivirals such acyclovir orally to help it not to spread and recover early.
