I Have Three Small Open Bumps In The Crevice Area

Question: I have three small open bumps in the crevice area of the buttocks near the anus. What treatment is recommended for this problem?
Brief Answer:
Need details
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
From your description, it seems to be either sebaceous cyst or a sinus tract.
Kindly send details like is it a lump or an opening or both? Duration? any redness or pain? Any other associated symptoms?
Need consultation with a surgeon to get these removed in a minor/day surgery. Meanwhile you can apply antiseptic cream like polysporin after washing the area with betadine and clean water.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

The small patch of red bumps appeared 6 days ago with an itch. Yesterday (Wednesday) I found them open after showering. The area appears red and is sore and tender. It also appears concaved.
Brief Answer:
It seems to be healing
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Thanks for reverting back with details.
From your description it seems to be fluid filled vesicles, maybe Herpes. It seems to be healing and may dry up in 2-3 days. You can apply acyclovir cream available over the counter. Observe hygienic measures like washing hands frequently.
If it doesnt heal then a bacterial infection is to be suspected and will require oral antibiotics like Cephalexin. It will also require antibiotic dressing as described above. In such a case you will need to see your family doctor to get a prescription.
