I Have To Take A Urine Test Weekly For Probation.
Question: I have to take a urine test weekly for probation. I have not used meth in four weeks but I am still testing positive. They will lock me up if I test positive again. If I was using It would be only fair that I got locked up but I am not. I take hydrocodone and gabapentin prescribed by a doctor daily. Low doses of each. Two 7,5 loritabs twelve hours apart and one gabapentin 300 mg at night.I also take cheap ibuprofen for pain. I have degenerative joint disease and have had multiple surgeries including both hips replaced and three joints in one hand rebuilt. I have low functioning thyroid but do not take meds for it yet. I take B12 and vitamin C daily. I have low B12 all the time. I have low iron at least twice to three times a year. I have COPD and use symbicort inhaled once a day. I have been taking sudafed pe for seasonal allergies recently which I take during spring and fall. I have been taking two caps of red XXXXXXX herbal supplement and two droppers of CBD oil for depression and anxiety daily. My probation officer swears nothing I am taking could cause a positive result but meth use. But I am not using. I do not ever want to use that shit again but I am still getting a positive result. WHY????? They use a standard urine test. I just do not understand how I am getting a positive result and do not want to be locked up for something I am NOT doing. I would be totally accepting of jail time if I was using. Is there anything I can do to rebuke these test results to stop from being locked up. I am terrified to go take another test today .

Is it worth 100 bucks to you? Heh, you're getting more than your money's worth on this consult. But I do not personally do lab testing.
The hundred bucks is the approximate cost of a Mass Spec testing. There are surprisingly large variations in the quality of urine testing.
The one you got is crap; but you know that. It is a dip stick and anything that looks enough like methamphetamine will test positive. there is about a 10% false positive rate and mostly we have no idea what it testing positive. Asthma inhalers, decongestant cold medicines, some anti depressants and certainly some herbal weight loss medicines can test positive for methamphetamine. The herbals could be a problem because they can be literally methamphetamine and so, the test would be correct. The others can be found by better testing. This actually seems to include ADDERALL, vyvanse and other ADHD medicines which are basically methamphetamine BUT they are different than street methamphetamine if you get the right test.
In the office, I use the right test. You hit the "request more information" or "reply button" and I will get the rest of the information on that lab by tonight (about 12 hrs from now).
oh...symbicort has something very similar to methamphetamine.

salbutamol is YOUR drug. There it is. Best finding. Probably ANY GC-MS urine test will show you are fine, but I can find the very best ones out there.

I send them all my urine specimens from people on Adderall and they claim they can tell whether it is adderall methamphetamine or street methamphetamine. Certainly they can tell the difference between methamphetamine and salbuterol.
But so can probably everywhere else for the difference between street drugs and asthma. The difference between two different manufacturers of the same chemical... that is tricky. So, I recommend pricing them out and seeing how fast and cheap you can get a result OR go with both. It might be the price of a new set of good tires but it won't be the price of a bad used car or... jail.

Dr.Watchman thank you for your in depth answer. I go this morning to a Matrix drug class I voluntarily am taking at state probation. I will offer to pay for out of my pocket for additional better testing at a reputable lab here thirty minutes to forty five minutes away in XXXXXXX GA USA or will even to go to Medical College in XXXXXXX GA to prove I am not using meth. I am aware you have went way beyond the "call of duty" here on this one. I truly am grateful to you, I messed up by using meth and am more than willing to be held accountable for my bad decision.
