Question: I have tried the drug Trazodone for sleep, but I think it is causing me balance problems. will this wear off in time or will it continue to cause me balance issues?

Could you please tell me what is the dose of Trazodone you are taking?

Its not very common to see balance problems with Trazodone. But some individuals develop this side effect but usually the tolerance to this side effect develops in less than a couple of weeks.

I hope your sleep improved with Trazodone. Please don't forget to get your blood pressure checked. A lot of elderly develop hypotension with high dose and this could cause balance problems. Maintain your fluid intake and you will be alright.

Visit your doctor if symptoms persist or become worse.
