Question: I just finished a ten day course of Augmentin for a sinus infection and am now experiencing intense vaginal itching. Could this be a reaction, and what can i do to treat it?

Hi,

Augmentin is known to cause allergic reaction. However what you describe is localised itching; therefore I would not directly relate it to medication.

I will recommend you use over the counter antifungal vaginal creams. Drink plenty of water. But if the problem continues despite aforementioned options, it would be wise to visit your doctor for careful clinical examination.
