Question: I just got my Holter monitor results back from my electrophysiologist. It was a 24 hour monitor. He was looking for percentage of PVCs. I had a 3.6%25 rate of PVCs which he said was fine. He said I had one run of 5 PVCs. He wasn%E2%80%99t concerned about this, should I be?
Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello
After going through the medical query raised by you I would like to tell you that more than 20% of VPC’s of total rhythm is considered significant.
As your HOLTER report is just showing 3.6% so there is nothing to worry at all. You should follow the advice of your treating cardiologist and relax.
Single run of vpcs less than 30 secs of duration doesn’t imply any significance.
Hope to have been helpful.
Kind Regards
