Question : I just got word from my cardiologist office that my 30 day event monitor showed PVCs (which I am not that concerned about) and a run of 5 PVCs in a row (which I am concerned about). I have a doctor's appointment to go over the results in person, but it's not for another week. In the meantime I am very worried, as a run of PVCs does not seem normal, and I am worried about sudden cardiac arrest. I had an echo cardiogram about a year ago, and that was normal. That is the only additional testing I have had.

Detailed Answer:
Hello There
After going through your medical query , I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that your cardiologist is not concerned about isolated VPCs because they are not harmful per se.
However 5 VPCs together suggests NSVT which coup sometimes lead to malignant rhythm abnormality in some patients there by causing complications.
It’s advisable that you should consult your cardiologist again as some blood tests like serum electrolyte levels need evaluation also a beta blocker needs to be added to counter further episodes of continuous VPCs.
Kind Regards
