Question: I just had an embryo transfer on day 3 and I am experiencing serious heart burn. Could this be implantation?

Brief Answer:
It can be a sign of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

The heartburn is common during pregnancy and especially in first trimester.
It is thought to be caused by increased hormone levels.
The fact that you are having it now just after hormone transfer and supposed in first trimester of pregnancy it is more likely that implantation was successful.
Yet it is not a confirmation.
A pregnancy test can confirm it.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Also my breast are very tender and this has never happened before. Could this also be a symptom of implantation?

Brief Answer:
Sore breasts are related to pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking again.
The engorged and sore breasts are a sign of pregnancy and together with heartburn it enforces pregnancy possibility.

I am wishing it really be a pregnancy.
Best regards.
