Brief Answer:
Do warm saline gargles.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
In most cases pharyngitis is causes by viral pathogens and will resolve by conservative management. You can see the throat with a help of mirror and the redness and yellow dots(if any) will reduce gradually as the disease is healing.
You can do warm saline gargles or gargling with over the counter available anaesthetic solutions for symptomatic relief. Avoid cold beverages.
If symptoms persists it will be better to go for a throat swab to rule out strep throat and in that case antibiotics may be required empirically.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
