I Just Started My First Dose Of Fenofibrate Micronized 43mg

Question: I just started my first dose of fenofibrate micronized 43mg at 12pm. I am a weekly drinker and I was wondering if it will have any bad interactions if I drink tonight.
Brief Answer:
Fenofibrate does not have any known interactions with alcohol
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I'm Dr. Branch,
Thanks for using 'Ask a Doctor'.
Fortunately, fenofibrate does not have any known interactions with alcohol, and so I wouldn't expect there to be any problems with drinking because of the fenofibrate.
I hope that helps.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be glad to discuss it with you further.

Ok, thank you so much. I am staying away from meat, except chicken and turkey and fish. But I stopped eating cheese, greasy foods. What foods help boost the bad cholesterol to go down fast?
Brief Answer:
Many types of food can lower the bad cholesterol (LDL cholesterol)
Detailed Answer:
You're very welcome. If you are overweight, weight loss would be the most important thing to improve your cholesterol. Otherwise, there are specific foods that can help lower your LDL cholesterol, such as: oats (such as Cheerios), beans, eggplant, okra, nuts, vegetable oils, fruits such as apples, grapes, strawberries, and citrus fruits, soy, fatty fish, and fiber supplements. Hopefully you can add some of these to your diet and see improvement in your cholesterol levels.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, I'd be glad to help any way I can.
