Detailed Answer:
Hi.....
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Most common cause of numbness in lips, encountered in clinical practice is due to allergies caused by some food stuffs but that is usually self limiting and reverses by itself.

If such tingling or numbness of lips develops slowly and persists or worsens over time,it is usually a result of neuropathy, nerve damage or due to an impending stroke.
Such numbness may or may not be accompanied by a burning feeling, stretching, increased sensitivity and local pain.

Kindly seek medical help, for physical clinical examination and further evaluation,if the symptoms continue to persist.

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
