Question: I know someone who was told by an MD that they (did not need to use / should not use) Iodized salt at adolescent age. What does this indicate? What condition might it indicate? Related to Thyroid?

The patient has never had any of the conditions listed. Her Thyroid function is normal. Is there anything else?

Than there is no reason why to inhibid iodinated salt.
In adolescence is needed 150 mcg iodine per day, as recommended by WHO.
