Brief Answer:
Need to confirm pregnancy through UPT or Serum Beta HCG test

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs XXXXXXX

Thank you for posting your query of Ask a Doctor service.

I would like to know if your urine pregnancy test came positive or negative.

If it is positive, then I would need to know the blood group of your husband to calculate the probable blood group of the fetus.

The general rule is, if your husband also has any of the negative blood group, then your child will also have one of the negative blood groups and the likelyhood of developing a problem due to blood group incompatibility is quite low.

If your hasband has any of the positive blood groups, then the chances of your child getting positive blood group or negative blood group is exactly equal, that is, 50-50, in that case, taking anti D injection is strongly recommended.

Please write back to me with the blood group of your husband and your first child, so that I can give you better information.

Best wishes
