I Normally Don T Post To Many Repeat Questions But
Question: I normally don't post to many repeat questions but I failed to ask a few follow us on my mind.
Here's my questions...would a base tongue cancer generally show up without any sores, ulcers, or lumps? Mt ENT also felt the back of my tongue with his finger...he said he saw nothing or felt nothing. But he said my left side of my tongue was asymmetrical so he ordered an mri of the neck and area. He also used a scope through my nose into my throat area. he said he was being cautious.
i had a minor intermitent ear and neck pain which seems to be mainly gone after 3-4 days of antibiotics. Whats the true likelihood of cancer????? Worried.
Whats the true li

Brief Answer:
Hii. The history you are giving is not suggestive of any cancer of the oral cavity
Detailed Answer:
Hii. The history you are giving is not suggestive of any cancer of oral cavity, tongue or adjoining areas. Your Ent surgeon has not palpated any lump, lesion or any mass. He has not found anything in endoscopy also. It is almost unlikely that you have any tumor of the tongue, oral cavity. Don't panic.MRI has been ordered to rule out any cause for tongue deviation which I think will come normal only.
