Question : I notice floaters in my right eye when I work at the computer or in bright light. I do not notice them in dim lit areas. My vision is fine but should I see an eye doctor? I plan to see my optometrist this week?
Brief Answer:
Long periods of working on PC, diabetes and age can cause it.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you may need to visit an ophthalmologist to examine your eye.
Sometimes floaters can be caused due to aging as vitreous jelly of eyes liquefies.
Also if you suffer from diabetes or hypertension can make these symptoms.
The fact that it happens only if you are working on computer it can be triggered by working and concentration of eyes.
I can recommend you to limit computer working and relax eyes as much as possible till you visit the ophthalmologist.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
